Ozheni is a passionate individual who has been challenging her community’s mindset on women’s rights from a young age. She was marginalized and discriminated by her society just because she was a girl and was the only one of many girls to support and encourage girls to be confident and smart enough to say that men and women have equal rights.
Ozheni is the leader of the girls’ soccer league in her community. She is managing five soccer teams and almost 70 players. She is motivating them to participate in national sports competitions and events, which aims to develop both their personal and professional skills. She was nominated from GOALS and took part in the Street Football World workshop about fair play and leadership skills in Ukraine. After the workshop, with the help of GOALS, she facilitated several co-ed tournaments, which aimed to teach fair play and involvement of all genders in sports.
