Naina is an 18-year-old sports coach from New Delhi, India. Naina is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in arts through correspondence from Delhi University. While she spends her weekends studying for college, during the weekdays, she coaches adolescent girls in netball and life skill education. For the past 4 years, she has worked towards empowering more than 1900 girls as a Junior Coach through the Naz Foundation (India) Trust’s sport for development program – ‘Goal’. Naina also supervises the entire Goal site data for Delhi on a cloud-based monitoring and evaluation software platform called SalesForce. She comes from a community where girls are not encouraged to play sport and they are married off at an early age. Naina is committed to challenging gender norms in society; she wants to bring the change that she has experienced through sports to the lives of thousands of girls in India who do not have access to sports. Naina has recently discovered her passion for cycling; she enjoys cycling through the streets of Delhi.
